BATTLE AXE
A downloadable game
Battle aXe is a fantasy mass combat supplement for old school tabletop role-playing games, and their clones.
It is designed to accompany your adventures, when you find your character in the middle of a battlefield, or when you, as the player, want to act as a lieutenant and command armies, and crush enemies.
It can also be played as a stand-alone game when all you want to do is to fight some quick battles.
Basic & Expert Rules
The book presents two set of rules; basic which includes all you need to play fantasy battles, with magic, and expert which provides rules for battlefield scenery, deployment, weather, overland movement, and magical items, as well as a mini-setting and army lists, and how to use graph paper for quick battles, to facilitate campaign play.
The Archean Age
It comes with a mini setting, Archea; and presents its map, its main regions and peoples, along with their signature troops, to allow for campaign play.
Army Builder
There is also an online army builder available, for even quicker play: https://primarchofistanbul.github.io/bxarmybuilder/
An Introductory Scenario
Carnage at Ulanbator is an introductory scenario for Battle Axe; the mass combat supplement for old-school RPGs.
In this small-scale battle scenario set between the advance party of the goblin expeditionary force and the human guardsmen, taking place at the temple-village of Ulanbator, you can either play as the human lieutenant Atahan, a fighter from the Bulgan province, or the goblin commander; Merfyn the Cunning from the village of Eoforwic.
